If you want to grow a garden using wholesale plant pots, your garden can be a great place to start. Although if you live in the city, you’re limited in what you can plant. However, there are still many options open to you. These tips will help you start growing a hanging garden from your balcony.

Find Your Hardiness Zone

You can easily find your hardiness zone online. It refers to the average low temperatures of your region and the average annual winter temperature. Before you start growing plants, you need to discover your hardiness zone. That would help you realize the ideal vegetables, herbs, fruits, and herbs that thrive there. 

Provide Access to Outdoor Sunlight

The amount of sunlight your plant needs depends on its type and species. While some plants thrive in direct sunlight, others flourish in the shade. When growing a hanging garden using wholesale plant pots, you need to consider the amount of sunlight your balcony gets daily. Whether your plants are east or west facing, you need to ensure it gets enough sunlight to thrive. 

Provide Protection from the Elements

Before you start growing a hanging garden from your balcony, consider whether the plants will be well protected from the elements. If you think your patio gets a lot of wind, you must also ensure wind protection for your plant. Some plant species are delicate and do not survive extreme temperatures. Therefore, choose hardier plants or provide a covering with burlap.

Consider the Space

Depending on the space available in your garden, you must ensure enough space to set up a hanging garden. You also need enough space to access the garden and maintain it. You should consider the container size and ensure enough space for the root, as it might be large.
